About The Role
The role is suited for an experienced Social Research Manager or Director to join our committed team of highly regarded social research specialists. As the Research Manager of one of Australia’s largest and longest-running social research projects.
Your main focus is working with the client and the internal team to lead the research project from questionnaire development, programming, fieldwork, data production, and reporting.
The role requires establishing strong relationships with our key clients, managing weekly client and internal meetings and keeping an eye on emerging issues, and developing and implementing strategies to resolve these issues.
This role includes management responsibilities for a small, dedicated team of research and operations staff, and deep immersion in an absorbing longitudinal social research project. If you are passionate about the value of social research and its potential to change Australian society, apply now.
About You
We are looking for highly engaged individuals who:
• Have a good-level understanding of longitudinal methodologies/processes including sampling, questionnaire design, response rate maximization strategies
• Are passionate about social research and delivering quality meaningful work to clients
• Can write technical reports to a very high standard
• Experience leading, coaching, and developing other members of a research team
And the following must-haves:
• At least 5 years of experience in the research industry, ideally with at least some of this experience in social and government research
• Some experience working in a consultancy or agency environment is preferable
• Competent Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams)
• Experience managing people
