Job Description
We are looking for a Business Analyst to join Finnair’s BI & Analytics team.
We are an international team of a dozen analysts, senior analysts, and analytics area leads supporting the entire Finnair organization. In this role, you get to take responsibility for the development and quality of automated reporting and dashboards, data output, and in-depth analysis.
As our Business Analyst you will get to:
- Develop, maintain, and execute the BI & Analytics strategy, practices, and activities, supporting the overall company strategy
- Pro-actively create ideas for utilizing analytics to improve business performance
- Provide strategical decision support to management as well as guiding tactical analytics within the organization
- Collect and translate business requirements into coherent dashboards and reports.
- Ensure the availability, accuracy, and relevance of data and analyses, and complete ad-hoc reporting and analyses where needed
To succeed as our Business Analyst, it is essential that you’ll have:
- Analytical and business-minded working style
- Capacity to translate data into useful business conclusions and recommendations
- Advanced SQL, Power BI, and Excel skills. Experience with other analytical tools such as R, Python, and SPSS, or other BI tools such as Tableau, is considered an advantage
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Proven track record of outstanding quality output and added value
- Experience in working in the aviation industry or with operational data and analytics is considered an advantage
