About the role

We’re looking for an organized and hands-on Event Specialist to join our Global Marketing team! You’ll support our Events Manager in planning, organizing, and participating in various events, such as industry conferences and other live networking opportunities. You may have previous experience in event coordination, B2B marketing, or sales, and this is seen as an advantage.

You will be independently managing your own tasks, which can include e.g. sourcing vendors, coordinating efforts for the booth staff to ensure that events are successful, supporting cross-functional stakeholders with event organizing at event locations, and participating in tracking and analyzing results after events.

Key responsibilities

  • Project manage selected phases or areas of event projects, covering both our own events as well as third-party conferences and meetups
  • Take care of practicalities around events, ordering swag and giveaways, cooperation with graphic designers on booth designs and presentations, and tracking results and coordinating follow-up actions after events
  • Create an understanding of our customer journey and participate in ideation around using events as a tool to activate our audiences throughout the path
  • Participate in event coordination with internal Aiven event stakeholders, such as Developer Relations, Field Marketing, and Sales, to guide optimal actions before, during, and after events


  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail
  • An understanding of events as part of omnichannel marketing initiatives to support business growth and lead generation
  • Ability to work on multiple initiatives simultaneously with a cross-functional group of stakeholders
  • Consistently delivering high-quality outcomes for various activities with support from senior team members
  • Proactively seeks assistance from the rest of the team when needed
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, global organization with a strong can-do attitude
  • Wants to learn continuously more about marketing, our target audiences, and business as a whole
