AECOM is seeking an Entry Level Mechanical/Chemical Engineer to be based in Atlanta, GA.

The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to

  • Work and coordinate with multidiscipline engineering teams comprised of civil, structural, and electrical engineers.

  • Assignments will include the development of design drawings, technical narratives, technical specifications, research, and local and national code compliance.

  • Project execution will require the use of AutoCAD, AutoCAD Plant 3D, Microsoft Office Products (Including Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and Revit.

  • Fueling Engineer is expected to execute their responsibilities while under the supervision of the Mechanical Lead Engineer or other Senior Mechanical Engineer.

  • The engineer will promote a positive work environment. They will be trustworthy and will build trusting relationships with multidiscipline design team members to facilitate high-functioning and high-performance teams.

  • The engineer will proactively study, learn, and understand commercial and Department of Defense codes, standards, and design guides related to the role of Fueling Engineer.

  • The engineer will proactively study, learn, and understand special software related to the role of the Fueling Engineer including pipe stress analysis and surge analysis.

  • Ability to travel one week per month inside the US and internationally.

  • Ability to obtain EIT.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or a related field and none or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

  • Valid US Driver’s License.

  • Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience and ability to use AutoCAD.

  • Relocation assistance and/or per diem are not offered for this position.

  • This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.

  • This position may be subject to a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Record Screening.
