Position Details

What You Will Do 

The Data Entry Clerk will work closely with the underwriters in entering client data into the company policy system.

  • Scan incoming mailed new business applications and documents 
  • Create and maintain a folder for each new application as per guidelines
  • Pull applications from the New Business email inbox
  • Enter new business applications into the policy system 
  • Attach all documentation to the newly created file in the policy system
  • Communicate with the underwriting team to ensure all necessary information is accurate and up to date
  • File and maintain paper applications

Who You Are 

  • 1+ year(s) experience with data entry and administrative roles
  • Completion of a High School diploma and college/university is an asset
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Strong keyboarding skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong time management skills and attention to detail in a highly structured environment
  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently
  • Working towards CIP designation is an asset
