WE ARE LOOKING FOR A CHEMICAL EXPERT AS A CONSULTANT FOR INDUSTRIAL ORDERS

We are looking for an expert in chemical legislation to join our versatile consulting team. The main tasks are various clarifications of chemical legislation, identification and fulfillment of company-specific requirements, and training for client companies. In addition, you handle and sell customer orders. Our customers are the world’s largest companies as well as smaller organizations in Finland, Sweden, and Norway.

We require
- University degree in a suitable field, e.g. chemistry, environmental chemistry, ecotoxicology, toxicology, pharmacy, or life sciences (or another similar field)
- Knowledge of EU and national chemical legislation and its practical application (e.g. REACH, CLP, BPR, EU Waste Framework Directive)
- Fluent in written and oral English and Finnish language skills
- Self-direction and experience in project management, as well as the ability to work on several projects at the same time and at times in busy schedules
We appreciate
- At least two years of experience as an expert in a company or as an authority
- Knowledge of ECHA’s IT tools (e.g. REACH-IT, IUCLID, R4BP) or other official systems and/or experience in preparing and processing various IUCLID documents (e.g. REACH registrations, SCIP notifications, poison information center notifications)
- Experience in chemical safety, risk management, or chemical regulatory compliance
- Experience with safety data sheets and the relevant legislation
- Strong IT skills and interest in learning how to use new systems
- Success in studies, versatile educational background/interdisciplinary skills, or doctoral studies/degree in the field
