Home Care Assistance is looking for a Certified PSW/Certified HCA/ Foreign Trained Nurse to become a part of our team and join our mission of Changing the Way the World Ages.
The ideal candidate should be one who can provide mental and social stimulation to our mostly elderly or senior clients, in addition, to being able to fulfill technical PSW / Caregiver duties.
Job Description: PSWs in Toronto and Nearby areas, whose main responsibilities will contribute to managing activities of daily living (ADLs) and maintaining the autonomy of clients. Applicants of interest will work primarily with the elderly in autonomous, semi-autonomous and total care conditions.
Main responsibilities:
- Providing basic care relating to clients’ ADLs and IADLs
- Assistance with bathing, toileting, and dressing
- Assisting with walking, exercise, and mobility
- Medication reminders
Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Valid First Aid / CPR certification (Level-C)
- Must have PSW Certification/HCA Certification/Foreign Trained Nurses
- Clear Criminal Reference Check
- Proof of eligibility to work in Canada
- Government ID
- Minimum 2 professional references
- 2 Step TB test
- Immunization Records
Working conditions: Position: Days, Evenings, Overnights, Weekends Status: Full and part-time
