Job Description
Accountant assists in carrying out the responsibilities of the Accounting and Payments Section of the Finance Department. He/She should interact with Suppliers and AF staff to ensure accurate and timely processing and payment of transactions.
Main duties include
- Receive supplier invoices, review and distribute to relevant Division/Department for payment approval.
- Match invoices, purchase orders/contract payment schedules, and payments.
- File completed transaction document set in payment reference order.
- Follow up on unapproved amounts with suppliers to ensure credit is received.
- Liaise with suppliers and AF personnel to resolve disputes.
- Reconcile supplier accounts.
- Prepare analysis of accounts as requested by AF staff or suppliers.
- Preparation of Arabic letter for Charter Flight.
- Back up for Cashier duties and Credit Cards (24*7).
- Ensure fuel log in Trax is updated in line with actual uplifts and ensure proper documentation is there.
- Providing historical data to MIS for budget purposes.
Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
- Minimum 2 years of general accounting.
- Knowledge of Accounts Payable.
- Knowledge of general accounting procedures.
- Knowledge of relevant ERP applications.
